Steak and Mushroom Casserole

Portion: 6 servings
Ingredients:

  • 6 Tbsp flour
  • 6 Tbsp oil
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1/4 Mushrooms sliced
  • 3 1/2 C water
  • 1 large round steak
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  • Cut meat into 6 equals pieces
  • Flour, lightly salt and brown quickly in 4 Tbsp oil.
  • Remove from skillet to casserole
  • Add rest of oil and 6 Tbsp flour to skillet to make thin paste
  • Add water and thicken into a thin gravy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread onions and mushrooms over meat.
  • Pour gravy over all.
  • Cover and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
