Texas BBQ Brisket

Ingredients:

  • 1 beef brisket 3-4 lbs
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1/2 C bbq sauce
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke

Directions:

  • TRim fat from brisket to 1/4 inch thick
  • Combine celery salt, garlic powder, and onion salt.
  • Sprinkle mixture over brisket evenly and rub thoroughly into meat.
  • Stir together bbq sauce and next 3 ingredients until blended. Brush bbq sauce mixture evenly onto  brisket.
  • Wrap brisket in heavy foil. Place in roasting pain and chill for 8 hours.
  • Bake at 300 for 5 hours or until meat thermometer inserted into brisket reads 190 degreees,
  • Cut brisket across the grain into thin slices.
