Ingredients:
- 6-12 slices of bread
- 1 LB grated cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 3 C milk
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 Lb sliced mushrooms sauted
- 1 Lb fried diced bacon or pork sausage
- Topping:
- 3 C crushed corn flakes miexed with 1 C butter
Directions:
- Beat eggs, milk, mustard and salt. Start layering casserole dish with white bread, then cheese, bacon/or sausage, mushrooms.
- Top with a layer of bread.
- Slowly pour egg mixture over all.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Before baking sprinkle cornflakes on top then pour butter over them.
- Bake at 325 uncovered for 1 hour.
