Ingredients:
1 teaspoon canola oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 cup onion, chopped
1 pound ground turkey
28 ounces diced tomatoes (can) with jalapenos if possible
15 ounces dark kidney beans (can) drained
15 ounces pinto beans, canned, drained
2 tablespoons chili powder, or to taste
1 tablespoon ground cumin
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large Dutch oven. Add garlic, onion, celery and pepper, and sauté gently for 2-3 minutes. Add ground turkey and cook until meat is browned, about 5 minutes.
2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, beans, chili powder and cumin.
3. Stir well. Simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
