Ingredients:
1 yellow cake mix (minus 2/3 cup)
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 egg
2/3 cup reserved cake mix
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Grease bottom and sides of a 9×13 inch pan.
2. Reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling. In large mixing bowl, combine remaining dry cake mix, butter and one egg. Mix until crumbly. Press into greased pan.
3. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until light brown.
4. Mix together all filling ingredients. Pour filling over partially baked crust.
5. Sprinkle pecans over the top. Return to the oven and bake 30 minutes until filling is set. Cool and cut into bars.
