Ingredients:

1/2 lb butter
2 1/2 cups boiling water
2cups quiick oats
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 2/3 cups flour 1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinamon

 

 

Preparation:

Puur boiling water over oats and butter. Let stand 10 minutes. Add sugars, eggs, stir. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.


Pour into greased 9x13 pan.
Bake at 375 for 45 minutes

 

 

Notes:

Topping
4 Tbsp. melted butter add 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup milk and 1/2 cup coconut.
Pour over cake Broil for a few minutes until coconut is toasted
