French Toast Casserole

Time: 1 Hour
Portion: 8 servings
Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 8 eggs beaten
  • 1 C milk
  • 2 C heavy cream
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 TBSP sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

           Topping

  • 1 C brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 C pecans chopped {optional} 

Directions:

  • slice loaf in 1 inch thick slices and layed on greased 9×13 dish. 
  • mix the rest of the ingredients
  • pour over bread.
  • let sit overnight in refrigertor
  • Spread topping on top of bread and bake uncovered at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
  • serve with syrup
