Cream Cheese Pastries

2 8 oz. pkg crescent rolls (cans)

8 oz. cream cheese, softened

1/2 c. sugar

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 egg, beaten (opt)


Brown sugar

Flatten one package of crescent rolls on a buttered baking sheet.  Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth.  Spread on rolls.  Unroll 2nd package of rolls, spread over cheese mixture, pinching edges to seal.  Brush top with beaten egg (opt) and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
